Und durch deine Knechte, die Propheten, steht geschrieben:

Gehe hin und rufe vor den Ohren von Jeruschalaim also:

So spricht der Ewige:
"Ich gedenke dir der Zärtlichkeit deiner Jugend, der Liebe deine Brautstandes, als du mir folgtest in die Wüste, in unbesätes Land. Und es heißt: Ich gedenke meines Bundes mit dir in den Tagen deiner Jugend und errichte dir einen ewigen Bund".
Und es heisst:
"Ist mir nicht Efraim ein teurer Sohn, ein zärtlich geliebtes Kind. Sobald ich von ihm spreche, wenn ich nur an ihn denke, wird meine Liebe für ihn rege. Ich werde mich seiner erbarmen", spricht der Ewige.

And through Thy servants the prophets it is written saying: "Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem saying, Thus says the Lord: I remember unto you the grace of your youth, the love of your betrothal, when you followed nie in the wilderness in land unsown'. And it was said: 'I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth and establish with you an everlasting covenant'. And it was said: 'Is Ephraim a dear son to me, or a delight-ful child that whenever I speak of him, I still remember him? Accordingly, my love for him is aroused, I shall surely have compassion on him, says the Lord'".
